Festivities in Honor of Our Lady of Sorrows

The 2025 edition of the Festivities in Honor of Our Lady of Sorrows took place in Castelforte, in the province of Latina, in the context of the Holy Jubilee Year. As per tradition, the celebrations began in the first days of September with the rite of exposition of the sacred image and the blessing of the town, continuing with the evening novena in the Church of San Giovanni Battista.

The central moment was the day of September 15th, with the solemn procession through the streets of the historic center and the Eucharistic celebration. As highlighted by the parish community, the patronal feast, in its profound religiosity, involved the entire population of Castelforte and all its civil and military institutions, together with numerous faithful from neighboring municipalities, confirming the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows as one of the most heartfelt traditions of lower Lazio.
