Edition 2025 — Urbino Musica Antica
The 57th edition of the Urbino Musica Antica Festival was held in Urbino from July 19 to 28, 2025, confirming the event's dedication to the great repertoire from the Middle Ages to Classicism performed on historical instruments. Among the highlights was the concert dedicated to Alessandro Scarlatti's anniversary with the oratorio Giuditta, performed by Carlotta Colombo, Marta Pacifici, and Luca Cervoni with Concerto Romano conducted by Alessandro Quarta.
The program featured the historic S. Vici organ from 1782 in the Oratory of San Giuseppe with a program on Sweelinck and Frescobaldi, the repertoire of Barbara Strozzi entrusted to soprano Giulia Bolcato, and concluded in the Courtyard of Honor of the Ducal Palace with the Orchestra FIMA conducted by Michael Form in Handel's opera Alessandro.
