In 2025, the Festival Opera Prima confirmed Rovigo as a benchmark for contemporary theatre, with its usual international selection of experimental theatre, dance, and performance pieces staged in the city's urban and historic spaces, accompanied by artist talks and a musical after-party.

The 2025 edition of the Festival Opera Prima renewed Rovigo's tradition as a showcase for contemporary theatre, bringing Italian and international companies selected via an open call to the city. Performances took place between the Teatro Studio, the Giardini Due Torri, and other historic city centre venues, featuring in-depth discussions and musical evenings. The event reaffirmed the festival's role as one of the most solid platforms for experimental performing arts in the Veneto region.
