Edition 2025 — Festival of the Tricolour

On January 7, 2025, Reggio Emilia celebrated the 228th anniversary of the first Tricolour. Ceremony in Piazza Prampolini with flag-raising and military honours, conferral of citizenship in the Sala del Tricolore, and at the Valli Theatre, the dialogue "The Flag of Citizenship" with Olympic champion Stefano Baldini, in the presence of the President of the Emilia-Romagna Region Michele de Pascale. Broadcast live on Rai RadioDue with Caterpillar.

The 2025 edition of the Festival of the Tricolour celebrated the 228th anniversary of the Italian flag. The celebrations opened at 9:30 AM in Piazza Prampolini with the Civic Bell, flag-raising, National Anthem, and military honours coordinated by the "Emilia-Romagna" Army Military Command. In the Sala del Tricolore, Mayor Marco Massari conferred Italian citizenship on new citizens and presented the Constitution to Reggio students. At the Teatro Municipale Romolo Valli, the dialogue "La Bandiera della Cittadinanza" (The Flag of Citizenship) took place, featuring Stefano Baldini, Yassin Bouih, Ana Maria Vitelaru, Emanuela Audisio, and Sara Zambotti, in the presence of the President of the Emilia-Romagna Region Michele de Pascale. The ceremony concluded with the performance "Corpi sonanti InNatura. Dedicato a Claudio Abbado" by the Orchestra of the Conservatory of Reggio and Castelnovo Monti, with a live radio broadcast by Caterpillar on Rai RadioDue.
