Edition 2025 — Firing of Vegetable Charcoal

In 2025, Pomonte again renewed the Festival of the Re-enactment of the Firing of Vegetable Charcoal in August, with the reconstruction of the ancient charcoal pile, dancing evenings, and food stalls dedicated to the village's specialties, from snails in the Pomonte style to goose dishes, accompanied by Umbrian wines.

The 2025 edition of the festival confirmed Pomonte's commitment to preserving the memory of charcoal burners. In the heart of summer, the hamlet of Gualdo Cattaneo hosted the re-enactment of the firing of vegetable charcoal, with demonstrations of the ancient charcoal pile, moments of popular tradition, and dancing evenings. The food stalls offered Pomonte specialties — snails in the Pomonte style and goose dishes — along with local wines, attracting visitors from all over the region.
