The Festival of the Pantiere is one of the most cherished events in the calendar of the middle Vallesina. It takes place every year on the Monday and Tuesday after Easter in the hamlet of Pantiere in Castelbellino, a small municipality in the province of Ancona, in the Marche region. Origins: Our Lady of Lourdes

The festival has its roots in an event from 1900, when the image of Our Lady of Lourdes was carried in a solemn procession from Moje to Pantiere on the Tuesday after Easter. Since then, this procession has been repeated every year, preserving the bond between the community and its parish church dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes. The religious dimension remains the beating heart of the event: the festival originated as an act of thanksgiving and devotion, and to this day, Tuesday is the day when faith takes precedence over everything else.

Faith and Community Intertwined

What makes the Festival of the Pantiere special is precisely the balance between the sacred and the secular. Alongside masses and the procession with the sacred image of Our Lady of Lourdes through the streets of Pantiere and Scorcelletti, there are food stalls, a charity raffle, market stalls, games, and live music that fills the square until late at night. It is a popular festival in the fullest sense of the word, built year after year by the work of volunteers, the parish, and local associations.

The two days are marked by musical moments for all tastes: from tribute bands to DJ sets, from acoustic pop-rock trios to social dance entertainment. The celebrations conclude with a fireworks display that lights up the Vallesina sky, an eagerly awaited finale that draws people from all over the area.
