Edition 2025 — Madonna delle Grazie and San Rocco Festival
2025 Edition: 450 years of faith
The 2025 edition of the Festival of the Madonna delle Grazie and San Rocco in Gioiosa Marea was marked by an important anniversary: 450 years since the construction of the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, erected in 1575. For the occasion, the San Nicolò di Bari Parish, led by archpriest Father Antonio Sambataro, promoted a jubilee with a plenary indulgence granted by the Apostolic Penitentiary, accompanied by days of prayer and celebrations.
On August 15th, the day opened in the morning with firecracker salutes, followed by the solemn Eucharistic celebration and the evening procession of the Madonna delle Grazie statue. In Piazza Cavour, the most anticipated moment of the festival took place: the concert by Michele Zarrillo, followed by fireworks launched from the Canapè seafront. On August 16th, devotion turned to San Rocco with the traditional procession of the saint.
