Festival of the Frog and the Fish 2025 — 45th Edition
The 2025 edition of the festival was held in Soarza, a hamlet of Villanova sull'Arda, in the province of Piacenza, from May 23 to 25. The event, organized by the Pro Loco Amici di Soarza, confirmed its traditional formula with three outdoor evenings dedicated to Piacenza cuisine.
The stars of the table, as per tradition, were frogs and catfish cooked according to old recipes, along with mixed fried dishes, tortelli, and other specialties of the Val d'Arda, accompanied by DOC wines from the Colli Piacentini. Every evening, the festival concluded with ballroom dancing and live music, in one of the most beloved events of the Bassa Piacentina.
