Edition 2025 — Festival of the Commare and Compari
The seventh edition of the Festival of the Commare and Compari was held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, in the district of Montalfano, a hamlet of Cupello (Chieti province). The evening was enlivened by the Tequila & Montepulciano Band, an Abruzzese folk group known for the song "Cicirinella", who were performing their "Cicirinella Live Tour".
As per tradition, the festival, curated by the cultural association Montalfano Terra Nostra and promoted by the Municipality of Cupello, celebrated the ancient rite of the Saint John 'comparanza' with live music, local flavors, and the warm participation of the Montalfano community and neighboring towns of the Vastese area.
