Festival of the Annunciation

The 2025 Festival of the Annunciation was held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 9:30 PM at the Cathedral Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta and Piazza Duomo in Messina. The evening, part of the "Sentinels in the Night" pastoral project, included communal Eucharistic adoration followed by a personal spiritual journey marked by the seven "steps" (Welcome, Baptism, Word, Prayer, Reconciliation, Sharing, and Proclamation) that wound along the side aisles of the Cathedral.

The initiative saw the collaboration of numerous diocesan offices, the "San Pio X" Archbishop's Seminary, bodies such as USMI and CIIS, religious institutes, parishes, and lay associations, with the active participation of the youth of the City of the Strait.
