The Festival of Storytelling was conceived within the framework of the Matera Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue 2026 program, dedicated to the oral tradition of the Mediterranean as a heritage of memory and narration.
The Festival of Storytelling is an event conceived within the framework of the Matera Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue 2026 program. The theme of the Mediterranean oral tradition, understood as a heritage of memory, myth, and narration, was developed in the 'Stratifications' section of the program, dedicated to time and the historical layering of the City of the Sassi.
