Edition 2025 — Festival of Slowness

The eleventh edition of the Festival of Slowness took place in Parma from June 6 to 8, 2025, with a "red thread" as its theme, inspired by the Japanese legend that ideally connects each person to their destined soulmate. Three days of talks, performances, workshops, and exhibitions in Piazzale San Francesco, Piazzale Salvo d'Acquisto, and Borgo delle Colonne, featuring major figures in Italian culture and predominantly free admission.

The XI edition of the Festival of Slowness animated Parma from June 6 to 8, 2025, choosing the "red thread" as its theme, a symbol of the invisible bond that connects people. The event unfolded across Piazzale San Francesco, Piazzale Salvo d'Acquisto, and Borgo delle Colonne with talks, performances, workshops, and exhibitions.

The festival opened on Friday, June 6, with journalist Michele Serra, in a talk about the "sense of limits." Among the guests over the three days were activist Sofia Pasotto, actor Paolo Rossi, writer Espérance Hakuzwimana, journalist Gad Lerner, Strega Prize-winning author Antonio Scurati, and cellist Mario Brunello. As is tradition, admission was free for most events.
