Festival of Saints Alfio, Filadelfo and Cirino

2025 Edition

In 2025, the community of Sant'Alfio, in the province of Catania, celebrated its patrons Alfio, Filadelfo, and Cirino following the ritual handed down for generations. The festivities began on the last Sunday of April, announced by the marching band and the firing of one hundred cannon shots.

The Dera, with its resin-wood bonfires in front of houses on the evenings of the eve, illuminated the historic center. On the Sunday of the festival, the Sung Mass and the subsequent exit of the Vara with the statues of the Saints drew numerous faithful, amidst the singing of the Cantata, the firing of mortars, and the concluding fireworks.
