Arsago Seprio celebrates its patron saint with a historical procession and tradition
The Festival of Saint Victor the Martyr is the grand patronal feast of Arsago Seprio, a municipality of ancient Lombard origin in the province of Varese. The event, held in May, combines the religious dimension, linked to the Basilica of Saint Victor and the venerated Silver Bust of the saint, with moments of popular celebration that liven up the historic center.
The most solemn moment is the historical procession with the procession of the Silver Bust of Saint Victor the Martyr, followed by the solemn Mass in the Basilica. Around this religious heart, a rich entertainment program for all ages unfolds.
The festival offers:
During the festival, you can access the "Treasures of Arsago": the Basilica of Saint Victor, the Church of Santa Maria, and the town museum. The Festival of Saint Victor is also the occasion when registrations open for the Palio dei Rioni, the historic competition that in June sees the four districts of the town compete.
The 2026 edition of the Festival of Saint Victor the Martyr in Arsago Seprio takes place on Saturday May 9 and Sunday May 10.
Saturday evening is dedicated to food stalls (from 7 PM) and the "80 Trash Party" concert, a tribute to Italian hits of the eighties (from 9 PM). Sunday opens at 10:30 AM with the historical procession and the procession of the Silver Bust of Saint Victor from Parco Pissina to the Basilica, followed by the solemn Mass. All day long: traditional games, a small funfair, creative workshops, face painting and pony rides by the Ronco di Diana Riding Center, access to the "Treasures of Arsago", food stalls, the Hobby Market, and the Flavors Market. During the festival, registrations open for the Palio dei Rioni.
The historical procession with the Silver Bust of Saint Victor and the "80 Trash Party" concert are the highlights of the patronal feast.
