Edition 2025 — Saint Lucia on the Verrino
In 2025, the pilgrimage of Saint Lucia on the Verrino River renewed its centuries-old tradition on the first Sunday of June. Faithful from Agnone, Castelverrino, and nearby towns reached the rural church for the kissing of the statue, the rites of the miraculous water, the open-air mass, and fireworks on the riverbed, in a day of devotion and popular celebration.
Programme
The 2025 edition followed the usual ritual: pilgrimage to the church of Saint Lucia, rites of the water from the Zelluso valley, open-air mass at noon, procession around the church, fireworks, and picnic on the Verrino River.
