Festival of Saint Anthony

The Festival of Saint Anthony accompanies the community of Cencenighe Agordino, in the province of Belluno, amidst the Agordino Dolomites, every January. On January 17, 2025, the town celebrated its patron saint Saint Anthony the Abbot, protector of animals, renewing a tradition deeply rooted in the peasant and mountain culture of the area.

Despite the winter cold, the festival involved the entire municipality, confirming the strong bond between the Agordino community and its patron saint, as well as the popular customs associated with him.

The festival focused on the commemoration of January 17th in honor of Saint Anthony the Abbot, patron saint of Cencenighe Agordino, amidst celebrations and mountain folk traditions linked to the protector of animals.
