Edition 2025 — Festival of Saint Anthony

In 2025, Lupara celebrated Saint Anthony of Padua with the thanksgiving festival for the harvest: the procession of wheat carts pulled by oxen and the reapers' procession, in a peasant ritual deeply rooted in the identity of the Biferno valley village.

The Festival of Saint Anthony of Padua animated the village of Lupara in 2025 as well, with the traditional procession of thanksgiving for the good wheat harvest. The carts full of sheaves, pulled by pairs of oxen, and the reapers' procession renewed a ritual that tells the agricultural and devotional soul of this municipality in the province of Campobasso.

Programme

Liturgical celebrations, procession with wheat sheaf carts pulled by oxen, procession of reapers and women with baskets of bread, civil celebrations.
