Edition 2025 — Saint Anthony in Crandola

On January 17, 2025, Crandola Valsassina celebrated its patron saint, Saint Anthony Abbot, with Mass animated by the Margno Choir, the blessing of animals, and the tradition of scapinasc, confirming one of the most cherished winter events in Valsassina.

The 2025 edition renewed the Crandola tradition of Saint Anthony Abbot. The community gathered in the parish church for the solemn Mass, animated by the Margno Choir, followed by the blessing of animals, a typical custom of the saint who protects the farming world. As every year, the festival was also an occasion to prepare scapinasc, the gnocchi made from stale bread with a sweet filling that are linked to the patron saint's feast day in Crandola, in a blend of faith and gastronomic culture of the Lecco Valsassina.
