Festival of Saint Anthony Abbot

The Festival of Saint Anthony Abbot also enlivened the town of Ello, in the province of Lecco, in 2025. The mid-January program confirmed the traditional structure: religious celebrations in the parish church, a musical moment, and above all the blessing of salt, animals, and agricultural machinery, a rite that links the festival to the peasant civilization of the Lecco Brianza region. There was also an aperitif offered by G.S. Ellese and the sale of apples by the Comitato Santi Giacomo e Filippo, a sign of a community gathering around its patron saint.
