Edition 2025 — Saint Anthony at the Lazzaretto

The 16th edition of the Festival of Saint Anthony Abbot at the Lazzaretto animated Saronno in January 2025 with the peasant village, historical costume parade, blessing of animals, and closing bonfire, confirming one of the most beloved winter traditions in the province of Varese.

In January 2025, the Lazzaretto district of Saronno hosted the 16th edition of the Festival of Saint Anthony Abbot, with the usual reconstructed peasant village, ancient crafts, and the tavern serving traditional Lombard dishes. The historical costume parade, with hundreds of participants, and the blessing of animals marked the days, culminating in the great Saint Anthony's bonfire. The event, organized by the Comitato Gruppo Storico Sant'Antoni da Saronn, confirmed the festival's strong roots in the Saronno community.
