Festival of Peoples

The 2025 edition of the Festival of Peoples in Rignano sull'Arno revolved around the theme «Missionaries of Hope,» proposed by La Formica ODV and Missio Fiesole. Saturday, May 24, opened with the inauguration of the eponymous photographic exhibition, followed by a meeting with the Imam of Florence Izzedin Elzir and Enzo Cacioli, an interreligious prayer, and the opening of food stalls featuring dishes from Albania, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Sri Lanka, and Italy, concluded by traditional music and dancing. Sunday, May 25, featured testimonies from doctors working in Africa and Latin America, with Edem Koffi (Togo) and Bruno Alterini (Peru), ending with the reopening of the stalls and a jam session by La Formica.
