Edition 2025 — Our Lady of the Pollino (Descent)
In 2025, the descent of Our Lady of the Pollino again brought the statue from the sanctuary on Monte Pollino to San Severino Lucano, accompanied by bagpipes, accordions, and tarantellas, concluding the great devotional season of the Pollino.
The 2025 edition of the descent confirmed the strength of this community rite. After the Confraternity's preparations at dawn on Saturday, the statue of Our Lady of the Pollino was brought back in procession from the sanctuary at an altitude of 1537 meters to San Severino Lucano, accompanied by bagpipers, accordionists, and the devotional tarantella. Many faithful came from Basilicata and Calabria to greet Our Lady's return to the village.
