Edition 2025 — Our Lady of the Plain
The 2025 edition of the Festival of Our Lady of the Plain took place on August 4th and 5th in Episcopia, renewing the centuries-old rites of the scythe dance, grain offerings, and the procession with the wooden statue to the Sanctuary of Santa Maria del Piano.
In 2025, Episcopia also celebrated the Festival of Our Lady of the Plain on the traditional dates of August 4th and 5th. The community gathered around its most ancient rites — the scythe dance, the offering of 'scigli' and 'gregne', the procession with the wooden statue — in a festival that intertwines devotion and peasant memory, and which every summer draws residents and returning emigrants to the village of the Sinni Valley.
