Festival of Migrant Literatures

The 11th edition of the Festival of Migrant Literatures was held in Palermo from October 22 to 25, 2025, at the Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa, revolving around the theme "Annexations": a reflection on the experience of conflict, where history seems to have stopped flowing in a straight line.

Among the key sections, "Identity in Search" provided a platform for Italian authors under 35, including second-generation voices. An international translation project celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of Horcynus Orca. The program, directed by Davide Camarrone, wove together literature, journalism, theater, music, and contemporary art across numerous city venues. For the first time, the festival was held in collaboration with the Sabir festival of Arci nazionale, promoted with the support of the Municipality of Palermo and numerous institutions.
