Festival of Maria SS. della Favara (Patronal Feast)

The 2025 edition of the Festival of Maria SS. della Favara took place on September 8, 2025, confirming the ancient calendar linked to the Nativity of Mary. The celebrations followed the tradition that weaves together the Roman rite and the Greek-Byzantine rite of the Arbëresh community: solemn Holy Mass, the procession of the Madonna's statue on the vara with liturgical chants in Greek-Byzantine, and the blessing of the town and families.

Alongside the religious program, the village came alive with food stalls dedicated to Sicilian-Albanian cuisine, craft markets, folk music, and evening shows, culminating in traditional fireworks. On September 9th, the festival continued with a thanksgiving mass and the historic Contessa Entellina fair.
