Edition 2025 — Addolorata Festival

In 2025, the outdoor festival of Maria SS. Addolorata in Comiso was celebrated on Sunday, May 18, preceded by the Solemn Settenario from May 8 to 15 in front of the Church of San Biagio. The highlight of the day saw the statue exit at 6:00 PM and make a triumphant entry into Piazza Fonte Diana, welcomed by a multitude of faithful and the children's choir performing the traditional Hymn, with the procession arriving in the square around 10:30 PM.

The 2025 edition confirmed the vitality of one of the most heartfelt festivals in the historic center of Comiso, in the province of Ragusa. The Solemn Settenario took place from May 8 to 15, with the Holy Rosary and the May Chaplet every evening from 6:30 PM, followed by the Eucharistic Celebration at 7:00 PM. On May 10, coinciding with Mother's Day, the "Kasmeneo" brass band accompanied the parade for the collection of gifts destined for the traditional gastronomic dinner, while from the steps of San Biagio, the children of the Hymn joined the parade of Sicilian carts to Piazza Fonte Diana.

The outdoor festival on Sunday, May 18, reached its climax at 6:00 PM with the exit of the venerated statue and the triumphant entry into Piazza Fonte Diana, welcomed by the exultant children's choir singing the Hymn written by Monsignor Francesco Rimmaudo and set to music by Maestro Alfio Pulvirenti. The procession returned to the square around 10:30 PM, where the Hymn was sung once again by those who had performed it in their childhood years.
