Edition 2025 — Festival of Forgiveness

In 2025, the Festival of Forgiveness in Bagno di Romagna was celebrated from March 14 to 16 in the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta. The solemn concelebration on Friday, March 14 was presided over by Bishop Douglas Regattieri, while on Sunday, March 16, the traditional procession with the Crucifix took place through the streets of the center, the devotional heart of the ancient Perdonanza.

Festival of Forgiveness 2025

The 2025 edition confirmed the deep popular devotion linked to the Perdonanza. On Friday, March 14, at 11:15 AM, the Eucharistic concelebration in the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta was presided over by Bishop Douglas Regattieri. On Sunday, March 16, the 11:15 AM Mass was presided over by Monsignor Alfio Rossi; in the afternoon, at 4:00 PM, the solemn procession with the wooden Crucifix crossed the town's streets, followed in the evening by the kissing of the Crucifix and the repositioning of the cross on the altar.
