Festival of Flavours and Scacciata Scordiense

The 2025 edition of the Festival of Flavours and Scacciata Scordiense renewed the appointment dedicated to the famous baked specialty of Scordia, in the province of Catania. The town's historic centre hosted a variety of tasting stalls, cooking shows, musical performances, and exhibitions of traditional Sicilian folk culture.

The event is part of the ongoing effort to promote the scacciata scordiense, a product with peasant roots that has been granted Municipal Designation of Origin (DE.C.O.) status. It was an opportunity for residents and visitors to rediscover the authentic flavours of the region and the gastronomic traditions passed down through generations.
