Edition 2025 — Festival of Cultures

The seventh edition of the Festival of Cultures took place in L'Aquila from May 6 to June 3, 2025. A month of events featuring cinema, music, and meetings on multiculturalism, with a staff of young international residents and the collaboration of the University of L'Aquila, in anticipation of the 2026 Italian Capital of Culture year.

Festival of Cultures 2025 in L'Aquila

From May 6 to June 3, 2025, the Festival of Cultures brought a rich calendar dedicated to dialogue between peoples to L'Aquila. The inauguration, at the Palazzetto dei Nobili, featured the screening of "Green Border" by Agnieszka Holland and "The Blue Caftan" by Maryam Touzani, followed by a debate with journalist Annalisa Camilli from Internazionale.

Over the weeks, every Tuesday and Wednesday, screenings, talks, and concerts alternated, with guests such as director Andrea Segre, Father Mattia Ferrari of Mediterranea Saving Humans, and the Policultural Orchestra of Piazza Palazzo. The multicultural staff, composed of sixteen young residents from twelve different countries, was the protagonist of the festival. The closing took place on June 2 and 3 at the Auditorium del Parco.
