Festival of Cultural Identities

The 2025 edition

The 2025 Festival of Cultural Identities was held on August 5th and 6th in Piazza Martino in Rodì Milici. The first evening, at 8:00 PM, opened with the parade of Sicilian carts, followed by a concert by the musical group Cantustrittu. The second evening, starting at 9:00 PM, featured a parade of Sicilian historical and folk groups: the I misi i ll'annu Historical Group from Rodì Milici, I Cariddi from Messina, the Murgo from Gioiosa Marea, and the Arbëreshë Group from Santa Cristina Gela, with a grand final dance that brought all the groups together.

In Piazza Stancanelli, an exhibition of sacred and floral crochet mosaics created by the women of the village of Braidi was set up in collaboration with the Anima Rodi Milici association. The event, promoted by Pro Loco Longane with the patronage of the Municipality, was part of the Borghi e Monti d'aMare Festival program organized by the Gal Tirrenico.
