Festival of Beato Roberto da Salle and the Palmentieri

The 2025 edition

In 2025, the town of Salle, in the province of Pescara, once again renewed its ancient devotion to Beato Roberto da Salle with mid-July festivities and the traditional Palmentieri Festival. As part of the celebrations, on July 16, 2025, the Church of San Salvatore hosted the conference "The First Jubilee in History", dedicated to the Celestine Pardon and the figure of the Celestine monk, a disciple of Pietro da Morrone.

As every year, the highlights were the July 18 procession with the statue of the Beato carried on the shoulders of the faithful and the Palmentieri ritual, featuring the collection of gifts and the participation of the community in traditional Abruzzo costumes, confirming the vitality of a centuries-old tradition.
