Edition 2025 — Ancient Flavors

In August 2025, the Festival of Ancient Flavors once again enlivened the Terravecchia district of Ortona with its usual formula: traditional sea and land cuisine, flag-wavers, costumed processions, and medieval entertainment through the alleys of the historic center, culminating in a spectacular grand finale near the Aragonese Castle.

The 2025 edition of the Festival of Ancient Flavors took place in August in the Terravecchia district of Ortona, confirming the event as one of the most popular in the city's summer calendar. During this edition, visitors were once again able to savor traditional Ortona dishes, from Adriatic fish cooked according to ancient recipes to land-based options, while flag-wavers, costumed performers, and medieval-inspired entertainment alternated through the alleys. The route along the streets of the old town, illuminated for the occasion, guided residents and tourists to the evocative closing ceremony against the backdrop of the Aragonese Castle.
