Festival Internazionale di Musica Contemporanea – Biennale Musica

The 2025 edition of Biennale Musica reaffirmed the festival's commitment to present-day musical creation. In the historic venues of Venice, from the Arsenale to Ca' Giustinian, concerts, world premieres, and site-specific projects unfolded, creating a dialogue between the avant-garde, electronic music, and tradition. The artistic direction of composer Caterina Barbieri charted the course for a festival increasingly open to international sound languages, with the awarding of the traditional Lions.

The 2025 edition followed the festival's established structure: world premieres, commissions, and site-specific projects in the Biennale venues in Venice, with the awarding of the Golden Lion and Silver Lion, and the activities of Biennale College Musica.
