Festival delle Radici

The third edition of the Festival delle Radici enlivened the summer in Laterza, in the province of Taranto, with three events dedicated to folk music and local storytelling.

It opened on July 11, 2025, in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, with a pizzica workshop led by dancers Serena Pellegrino and Veronica Calati, antique markets, food and wine stalls, and a children's area organized by the Pro Madonna delle Grazie Association; in the evening, a concert by Salvatore Galeanda, a historic voice of the Notte della Taranta orchestra.

On July 22, in the Corte del Palazzo Marchesale, the docu-series "I Re dei Luna Park," dedicated to the local fairground family Monti-Condesnitt, was screened by the Cara APS Association.

The festival concluded on July 29 in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele with a concert by the Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, one of the most famous Salento folk music groups. All events were free of charge.
