Festival dell'Appennino – tappa di Castignano

The 2025 edition of the Festival dell'Appennino, the sixteenth, took place from 4 May to 12 October 2025 with free events in 28 municipalities in the central Apennines affected by the 2016 earthquake, confirming the formula that combines excursions and live performances.

The stop in Castignano (province of Ascoli Piceno), titled "Tra vigne e cantine" (Between vineyards and wineries), was held on Sunday 14 September. After meeting at San Bernardino at 9:00 AM, participants walked a loop of about 9.7 km with a 432-meter elevation gain, passing through several local wineries – including Scac Cantine di Castignano, Tenuta Spinelli, and Rocca di Castiglioni. This was followed by a convivial lunch and, at 3:30 PM, the Festa Zigana with a concert by the group Acquaragia Drom, one of the best-known folk and gypsy music groups in Italy.
