The Festival del Racconto is an event conceived within the framework of the Matera Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue 2026 programme. The theme of the oral tradition of the Mediterranean, understood as a heritage of memory, myth, and narration, has been developed in the 'Stratifications' section of the programme, dedicated to time and the historical layering of the City of the Sassi.
