The 400+1 Festino of 2025

The 401st Festino of Saint Rosalia, presented as the '400+1' edition, took place in Palermo in July 2025 on the theme 'Death and Life'. The traditional Triumphal Float was accompanied by a new theater-float that represented historic Palermo and its rebirth after the plague, while the statue of the Saint was renewed with the depiction of the city's ancient gates, Porta Nuova and Porta Felice.

On the evening of July 14th, the procession traveled along the Cassaro from the Palazzo dei Normanni to Porta Felice with an itinerary of five stops, instead of the traditional four. The artistic performances featured actors such as Simona Malato, Vincenzo Pirrotta, and Isabella Ragonese, among acrobats and dancers. The event culminated at the Quattro Canti with the cry 'Viva Palermo e Santa Rosalia' and spectacular fireworks at Porta Felice. The festival exceeded 350,000 participants.
