Festino di San Silvestro 2025

The 2025 edition of the Festino di San Silvestro Monaco took place regularly in Troina, in the Nebrodi mountains, repeating the usual cycle of the patronal festival. After the start of preparations in mid-May, the ramara devotees carried out the votive pilgrimage into the woods to gather laurel as part of the Festa dei Rami.

This was followed by the Festa della Ddarata, with caparisoned horses and mules, the Kubbaita historical pageant, and the solemn procession of the Vara with the silver effigy of the patron saint through the streets of the historic center, amidst fireworks and brass band music. The traditional fair and local gastronomic specialties rounded out the festivities, confirming the strong identity roots of this festival for the community of Troina.
