Fifty years of Festa te lu Mieru

The 2025 edition marked a historic milestone: the first fifty years of the Festa te lu Mieru, celebrated from September 5th to 7th in Carpignano Salentino, in the province of Lecce. An anniversary that reaffirmed the event's role as the 'mother of all Salento festivals' and a symbol of Puglia's food and wine identity.

Highlights of the three-day event included: the traveling concert by the Be Dixie Band, the live performance by Antonio Castrignanò & Taranta Sounds with their 'Babilonia' show, the evening with the Allegra Compagnia Cantante, the electronic fusion of Elettro Mascarimirì, the Cuccagna te lu Mieru games in Piazza Madonna delle Grazie, and, as a grand finale, the lighting of the traditional Fòcara te lu Mieru at Torre Colombia. There was no shortage of new local wine, traditional peasant dishes, and pizzica dancing until dawn.
