In September 2025, Montenero di Bisaccia celebrated its patron saint San Matteo Apostolo with religious ceremonies, the procession of the statue through the town, and an evening of music, with tributes and concerts, markets, and fireworks in Piazza della Libertà.

The 2025 patronal festival of San Matteo Apostolo renewed the tradition in Montenero di Bisaccia on September 21st: masses, vespers, and the procession of the patron saint's statue through the town streets, followed by an evening in Piazza della Libertà with music, markets, and fireworks.
