Edition 2025 — Festa di San Defendente

In September 2025, Romano di Lombardia celebrated its patron saint San Defendente with the usual week of festivities: masses in the church of San Defendente, evening procession with the civic band towards Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII, neighbourhood dinners, games, music, and fireworks.

The 2025 edition of the Festa di San Defendente renewed the patronal tradition of Romano di Lombardia. For a week, masses in honour of the patron saint accompanied the town's devotion, culminating in the evening procession with the statue of the Saint towards Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII, escorted by the Corpo Civico Musicale.

The popular dimension was expressed in neighbourhood dinners, games, tombola, and fireworks, confirming a tradition that has been renewed uninterruptedly since 1925.
