Festa Patronale della Madonna Assunta

The Festa Patronale della Madonna Assunta is the most important event in Lungavilla, a municipality in the Oltrepò Pavese area of the province of Pavia. In 2025, the town once again celebrated its patron saint on August 15th, with the solemnity of the Assumption in the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta. On the day of the octave, August 22nd, the Madonna del Colera was celebrated, in fulfillment of the solemn vow of 1836. The religious celebrations and community gatherings confirmed the strong bond of the Lungavilla community with its patron saint and with a centuries-old devotional tradition.
