Patron Saints of a Mountain Village

In the heart of the Alta Val Brembana, over 1,000 metres above sea level and about fifty kilometres from Bergamo, lies Roncobello, a small mountain municipality that every June 29th celebrates its patron saints: Saint Peter and Saint Paul, protectors of the community.

The patronal feast is one of the most cherished events of the year. In a village of modest size, immersed in the alpine landscape of the Bergamo Orobies, this anniversary takes on a special significance: it is the day the community comes together, between religious celebrations and festive moments.

The celebrations take place at the Pro Loco Roncobello headquarters, at via Ronchetto 10, and accompany the entire day, from morning till evening. The festival combines the solemnity of the liturgical anniversary - Saints Peter and Paul are among the most important figures in the Christian calendar - with the convivial atmosphere typical of village festivals, with moments designed to bring together residents and visitors.
