Edition 2025 — Festa nell'Aia

The 2025 edition of the Festa nell'Aia took place from Thursday, July 17 to Sunday, July 20 at the former sports field on Via Carducci in Roccastrada. Four days of wheat threshing re-enactments, with farm animals, milking for children, bread and cheese making, Maremma country cuisine, and the haystack raid every evening.

The 2025 edition brought the wheat threshing ritual back to Roccastrada for four days. The farmyard came alive with horses, Maremma cattle, donkeys, sheep, geese, and chickens, while children were able to try goat milking and dive into the haystack.

Every evening from 6:00 PM, the food stands offered a peasant menu: tagliatelle with duck sauce on Thursday, country-style salt cod on Friday and Sunday, stewed duck, tripe, anchovies with pesto, and local wines. Highlights included falconry by Guglielmo and his sons, re-enactments of Tuscan and Maremma folk dances, dog training demonstrations, the Saturday 'White Night' with music and dancing, and horse shows, culminating in the traditional haystack raid at the end of each evening.
