Festa Granni — Quinquennial Solemnity of the Madonna degli Ammalati

The 2025 edition of the Festa Granni marked the return, after five years, of the solemnity dedicated to the Madonna degli Ammalati in San Gregorio di Catania. The celebrations had their focal point on September 12, 2025, the day of the solemnity, with liturgical moments and the participation of the entire community around the Church of Santa Maria degli Ammalati.

Alongside the religious dimension, the program offered cultural and musical events: on September 20, the show "Mother Teresa the Musical" was staged, while on September 21, 2025, the concert of the "Città di San Gregorio" Musical Band took place, included in the official program of the festival. A recurrence experienced with great participation, which confirmed the identity value of this quinquennial solemnity for the Municipality and the entire Province of Catania.
