Edition 2025 — Festa Grande a Mezzagosto
How it went in 2025
On August 22, 2025, the Privernum Archaeological Park hosted yet another re-enactment of the festival that commemorates the celebrations of 137 AD. The evening, with free admission, was organized by the Municipality of Priverno with the Museums of Priverno and the Compagnia dei Lepini, and alternated guided tours among the remains of the Roman colony, activities for families, musical moments, and tastings of ancient cuisine.
As per tradition, the conclusion was entrusted to the honey pizzitelle prepared by the Pro Loco Priverno APS, re-proposed according to the recipe that recalls the sweets offered two thousand years ago by the magistrate Titus Flavius Scopellianus to the citizens of Privernum. The event was included in the Municipality's summer calendar, which every year enlivens the village of the Lepini Mountains and the archaeological area of the Mezzagosto locality.
