Edition 2025 — Festa FedEricina

The tenth edition of the Festa FedEricina took place in Erice from September 19 to 21, 2025. For three days, the medieval village stepped back in time with the re-enactment of the arrival of Frederick III of Aragon and his wife Eleanor, costumed processions, flag-wavers, musicians, and the medieval village set up at Castello Torre Pepoli. Sunday featured the Grand Historical Pageant with groups from all over Sicily.

2025 Edition: the tenth Festa FedEricina

From September 19 to 21, 2025, Erice hosted the tenth edition of the Festa FedEricina. The historic center of the village came alive with royal processions in period costumes, welcomed at the Porta Trapani by guards and knights, while the cobblestone streets served as a stage for musicians, flag-wavers, drummers, dances, and duels.

At the Castello Torre Pepoli, a medieval village was set up with traditional tastings of medieval soup and Hippocras. The heart of the event, in addition to the re-enactment of the arrival of Frederick III of Aragon and his consort Eleanor, was the Regional Gathering of Historical Pageants of Sicily, which culminated on Sunday with the Grand Historical Pageant through the streets of the village, in the province of Trapani.

Programme

Friday-Sunday, September 19-21, 2025: opening of the Medieval Village at Castello Torre Pepoli, processions and costumed parades, musicians and flag-wavers. Re-enactment of the arrival of Frederick III of Aragon and Eleanor with a welcome at Porta Trapani. Sunday, September 21: Regional Gathering and Grand Historical Pageant with groups from all over Sicily.
