Edition 2025 — Festa 'ejji Canistri

The 17th edition of the Festa 'ejji Canistri took place in August 2025 in Santo Stefano di Sante Marie, meeting with great success. The village was transformed with corners of peasant life, while the parade of women in costume with decorated baskets opened an evening of local gastronomy and Abruzzese folk songs, celebrating the roots of the Marsica community.

The 17th edition of the Festa 'ejji Canistri was held in August 2025 in Santo Stefano, a hamlet of Sante Marie (AQ), enjoying great success and participation. The traditional costume parade also saw the involvement of associations and groups from neighboring towns, with wedding dresses and attire spanning the decades from the 1920s to the 1980s.

The entire village was set up with corners that faithfully reproduced scenes of past life, a testament to a time when joy and sharing were the foundation of the community. After the canistri procession, the cellars opened with typical products and traditional dishes, accompanied by Abruzzese folk songs. An edition that confirmed the festival as one of the most heartfelt events for preserving the traditions of the territory.
