Edition 2025 — Santa Lucia al Verrino
In 2025, the pilgrimage of Santa Lucia to the Verrino river gathered the faithful of Alto Molise on the first Sunday of June, with the rites of the Zelluso valley water, the open-air mass, the procession, and the fireworks on the river.
In 2025, the pilgrimage of Santa Lucia to the Verrino river renewed its centuries-old tradition on the first Sunday of June. Faithful from Agnone, Castelverrino, and nearby towns reached the rural church for the kissing of the statue, the rites of the miraculous water, the open-air mass, and the fireworks on the riverbed, in a day of devotion and popular celebration.
Programme
The 2025 edition followed the usual ritual: pilgrimage to the church of Santa Lucia, rites of the Zelluso valley water, open-air mass at noon, procession around the church, and fireworks on the Verrino river.
