Festa di Sant'Anna e Sfilata dei Covoni

The 2025 edition of the Festa di Sant'Anna took place in Pescolanciano on 25 and 26 July, following tradition. The Sfilata dei Covoni paraded the 'manuocchi' of wheat decorated with flowers, carried on heads with the spara, on carts, on sledges, and by hand by participants in traditional costume and reapers' clothes. The procession, accompanied by the band and the hymn to the saint, followed the statue of Saint Anne to the Church of the Saviour for the blessing of the grain. A festival that annually renews the vow made by the community after the 1805 earthquake and preserves the peasant identity of Alto Molise.
